Compensation and HR Data Associate Analyst – Hybrid
- Are you detail-oriented and comfortable validating data, running analyses, and preparing documentation that supports strategic HR initiatives?
- Are you experienced in supporting compensation programs, including merit modelling and salary recommendations aligned with established guidelines?
The Associate Analyst, Compensation and HR Data reports to the Manager, Compensation, Job Design and Talent. This role supports compensation and HR systems by analyzing data, preparing job documentation, and assisting with salary modelling, pay equity reviews, and Workday configuration. The position plays a key role in maintaining data integrity and supporting strategic HR initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reports and Analysis: Pull and analyze HR data to produce clean reports, dashboards, and insights that support compensation, workforce planning, and HR strategy.
- Salary Recommendations and Pay Equity: Prepare salary recommendations for hires, promotions, and support pay equity initiatives by applying compensation guidelines, analyzing HR data, and escalating findings for review
- Job descriptions: Draft and refine job descriptions by auditing role content with managers, standardizing inputs, and coordinating approvals with leadership.
- Job Evaluation and Benchmarking: Conduct job evaluations and support external benchmarking by analyzing role content, matching positions to market data, and summarizing findings for managerial review.
- Workday Implementation: Support Workday implementation by preparing job profiles and compensation inputs, validating data, executing test cases, and coordinating configuration tasks with consultants.
- Merit Cycle: Support merit-cycle modelling by applying established methods, validating data accuracy, and preparing files for HRIS upload and reconciliation.
- Success Sharing: Support Success Sharing modelling by preparing and validating HRIS data, running reconciliation checks, and coordinating deliverables with consultants or HRIS teams.
- Performance evaluations: Monitor year-end performance evaluations by tracking completion, sending reminders, escalating overdue cases, and summarizing progress for leadership.
To Succeed, You Will Need:
- College Diploma in Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience in HR, Compensation, or data analysis
- Strong analytical skills to build accurate data models and identify trends
- Solid project and process management abilities to lead compensation cycles and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations
- Effective time management and multitasking across daily tasks and large-scale projects
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft and salary survey tools
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) will be an asset
